Truelease is a rental credibility platform that helps renters build verified Rental Passports and helps housing providers review verified renter information as part of their leasing process.

Renters may:

• Build and maintain a Rental Passport
• Securely connect financial accounts through Plaid
• Verify rental-related financial information
• Share Rental Passports during the rental process
• Discover rental opportunities through participating housing providers

Housing providers may:

• Receive Rental Passports shared by renters
• Review verified renter information
• Manage listings (where supported)
• Use Truelease Links to invite renters to share Rental Passports

Truelease is a technology platform and is not a landlord, broker, real estate agent, property manager, credit bureau, or consumer reporting agency.

The Rental Passport is a verified renter profile that users control.

Users are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information
• Maintaining account security
• Keeping information reasonably current

Truelease is responsible for:

• Processing verified information securely
• Presenting verified information accurately
• Protecting user information in accordance with the Privacy Policy

TrueScore™ is a rental credibility snapshot generated from verified information within the Rental Passport.

• It is not a credit score.
• It does not replace background screening.
• It may change as verified information changes.
• It should be considered alongside other information during the leasing process.

TrueScore™ does not guarantee rental approval or acceptance by any landlord or housing provider.

Financial connections are facilitated through Plaid. Connecting your financial accounts is subject to Plaid's own terms and privacy policies.

• Banking credentials are handled by Plaid.
• Disconnecting Plaid pauses future automatic Rental Passport updates.
• Previously verified information remains part of the Rental Passport unless otherwise removed in accordance with account settings or applicable law.

Users agree not to:

• Provide false information
• Misrepresent their identity
• Attempt to manipulate the Rental Passport or TrueScore™
• Violate applicable laws
• Access unauthorized accounts
• Scrape or harvest platform data
• Interfere with platform security or operation

Housing providers agree to:

• Use Rental Passport information solely for legitimate housing decisions
• Comply with applicable fair housing and anti-discrimination laws
• Respect renter privacy
• Not redistribute Rental Passport information without authorization

Housing providers remain solely responsible for their leasing decisions.

• Truelease owns the platform, software, trademarks, and intellectual property.
• Users retain ownership of the information they submit.
• Users grant Truelease a limited license to use submitted information solely to provide and improve the services.

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available." Truelease does not guarantee:

• Platform availability
• Error-free operation
• Rental approvals
• Listing accuracy
• Completeness of third-party information

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Truelease is not liable for:

• Landlord leasing decisions
• Missed rental opportunities
• Third-party service interruptions
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where prohibited by applicable law.

Truelease supports equal housing opportunity.

The platform is designed to assist renters and housing providers while supporting compliance with applicable fair housing laws.

TrueScore™ is based on verified financial information and is not designed to evaluate or infer protected characteristics.

Truelease may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

Users may close their accounts at any time.

Data retention following account closure is governed by the Privacy Policy.

Truelease may update these Terms periodically. Material changes may be communicated by email or through the platform.

Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
